If you enjoy figuring out ways to see everything possible in the given amount of time you are on vacation, you will appreciate what I have to share with you. If your idea of the perfect vacation is lying by the pool the entire time while sipping a drink with a little umbrella, you’re still in the right place! I have something for all types of vacationers.
My blog is all about getting the most out of your vacation! While traveling is exciting and a well-deserved way to relax, the planning beforehand can be extremely stressful in the days leading up to it. My blog will provide tips on how to make planning and vacationing stress-free! I also offer ready-made itineraries to numerous locations in the U.S for a small fee. If I don’t offer a specific destination, feel free to email me and I will put something together for you.
My family enjoys traveling to see all that the world has to offer. We have taken many cruises, but we also enjoy traditional vacationing. Before my husband introduced me to Trello (an app for organization), I was the sticky note queen. I used them for every list imaginable (packing, information on places to see, reservation notes, etc.). Several years ago, I had the opportunity to visit San Diego, CA. with my husband on a business trip. I instantly fell in love, and knew we had to bring our sons back some day to see this beautiful destination. When we finally decided on a date to go (which was the year my oldest son graduated high school), I knew I wanted to get the most out of our trip to see all that we could.
I began planning by making daily schedules with what we would visit, meals for the day (bring bag lunches, eat out, eat at the rental home, etc.), and approximate times for each stop, which included travel. I know some people might be thinking, “following a schedule on a vacation seems stressful in itself.” I guarantee you it’s not, as you have all of the decision work already done before you step foot off the plane or out of the car. Our family vacation went so smoothly with all of the planned activities; and the best part about it is that if you are too tired to do a specific activity, skip it and rest at the pool or play a board game with the family at your rental home or hotel. Since the San Diego trip, we never go on vacation without itineraries. I have had friends and family ask about my schedules, so I thought it would be fun to create a blog to share my insights on vacationing. I look forward to helping you to get everything you want out of your next trip.
